| Course Description: | Focuses on the development of participants’ teaching practice through the reflective application of theory. Enables and supports participants in applying pedagogical theory to their classroom teaching through reading and discussion, action, and reflection. The foundation for this professional study is the concurrence of study in this pedagogical seminar; reflective teaching practice; and study in the student’s academic discipline. Participants come to understand the complex interplay between discipline-based knowledge and the discipline’s tools of inquiry. Participants critically read and interpret a number of texts both in their discipline and in pedagogical theory. |
